Today after school I went to talk to Claire Grech from Smart Supermarket, to give us a sponsor for some things that we need for the fund raising burger event. I have managed to get 200 burger buns, frying oil and sauces for free. She told me to call her again later so that she will confirm exactly. When I called she told me that everything is ok and that they will be giving them for free, she also told me that I can pick them on the same day of the event.
This morning at 10.30am Chris Pace came at school to meet me so that he could see what we are doing for this exhibition and give him more details. I showed him the room where we will exhibit our work, then I also told him that I can ask someone from the room group people to example further on how the room will be build. He was very interested and wanted to know. While we were discussing things in the room where we will exhibit our things, he said that they wish to be part of this exhibit and not just by hanging "Fino" logo on the wall. Then he said that he would better help as with the material to build the room instead of just giving us a some of money, as "Fino" supplies wood materials. He also send that he want us to build something that can be re-used not using it for once and then throw everything away.
The next thing to do is that I will email him the list of materials we need when PJ gives me the list. Then he see's from there, but he was very interested in helping students, so I have go hopes of getting this sponsor for our room. Chris from "Fino" had emailed me back today, with the following: I have replied back to Chris with the following: He replied again with: Meanwhile I'am talking with Alexia and Ian to discuss some issues about more sponsorship details. I have emailed him a reply with the below detail: He had replied and said that he will be coming to meet me tomorrow at school. I have informed the lecture Adolf Formosa about this.
Today I have called Chris from Fino to offer as a sponsor to help us with the school exhibition. He was very interested and he said that he would talk it out with all the managers, then I told him that I will send him the details and also the Facebook page of 'Tikka'.
This afternoon I went to Smart Supermarket to talk to Claire Grech for a sponsor. I have explained everything and how we as students organize the school end of year exhibition and that we would need help from sponsors. I have also given here the sponsorship letter for more information. She said that she would discuss about it with other managers and that she will contact me if interested to give us a sponsor.
Today we (some of the way-finding people) went to the workshop to ask some questions on how we need to make the letters in order to die-cut the signs.
Afterwards we discussed together that we can also die-cut the letters and stick them on a wood panel instead making the letters empty. If we die-cut the letters needed we then need to paint or spray them in white color. We have also decided that we will not use the logo in the signage as we will be using Bellow are the images taken while I was testing out the leds. Today myself together with Jessica have discussed with Mark the inside signage. We have discussed on the materials we can use for the signage and we came up with 3 materials that we can use which are: acrylic, aluminum and wood. We have agreed that we should go for wood material as it would cost less then the other materials. Also we have agreed that we should use die cutting for the words and that we can use the one we have at school.
The next step is that we go at the workshop to tell them what we have in mind and if we can use the school die cut. Then we start to build a mock-up sign to see how it will come and show it to the teachers and school directors. We also want to test this sign by inserting led lights inside, because we would like to add light to the signs. We have found a video how to make these led's without the need of wires and plagues, all we need is led's and watch flat batteries. Things we need:
